The included scenarios can be logically explained when students are challenged to fill in a few missing pieces. Read each “story” aloud to the class and encourage the students to ask “yes” or “no” questions that will eventually lead to a reasonable explanation of the account.
Solving the puzzles is a perfect morning warm-up activity or “last few minutes of class” activity that your students will look forward to. The mysteries encourage creative and divergent thinking, since the students arrive at the answer by asking questions and adding a few missing pieces.
